MCP Server (AI Tools)

Pallada includes an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that lets AI assistants directly interact with your project data.

What MCP Does

MCP enables AI models to:

  • Create and search notes, entities, timeline events
  • Manage books, chapters, scenes, goals
  • Place markers and regions on your world map
  • Get project statistics and run global searches

The AI acts as your co-author — you describe what you want, and the AI does it.

Setup

1. Generate a Token

Go to Pallada → Settings → MCP and click "Generate Token". Copy the token.

2. Configure Your Client

Add the following to your MCP client:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "pallada": {
      "type": "remote",
      "url": "https://web.pallada.space/api/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_TOKEN_HERE"
      }
    }
  }
}

3. Start Using

In your AI client, add use pallada to prompts:

"Create a note about the Elven Forest and link it to character Aerin, use pallada"

"Search my timeline for events about the Great War, use pallada"

How It Works

  1. Your AI client sends a JSON-RPC request to Pallada's MCP server
  2. The server processes the request against your project data
  3. Results are streamed back via SSE (Server-Sent Events)

The MCP server runs on port 3002 and communicates over HTTPS through nginx.
